We tried Smoke for the first time yesterday evening before catching a show at the Gibson theatre down the street and were extremely impressed to say the least! The fried cheese squares were very creatively presented and delicious with the remoulade as an appetizer.
I had the rib-eye, which was perfectly grilled and flavorful and my fiance said the catfish was the best she has ever had. Despite being stuffed, we had to try the banana pudding and it was well worth it. Even our after dinner cup of coffee was well brewed and rich.
With all of the culinary options available to us in the greater Charlotte area, it's not often that we would consider driving an hour for a meal, but we WILL be back with friends. Thanks for a great evening and keep up the good work!
